Nano mechanics

Nanomechanics is a branch of Nano science studying major mechanical properties of physical systems at the nanometer scale. Nano mechanics has developed on the crossroads of classical mechanics, statistical mechanics, solid-state physics, materials science, and quantum chemistry. As an area of nanoscience, nanomechanics offers a scientific foundation of nanotechnology. Nanomechanics deals with the study and application of major mechanical properties of physical systems at the nanoscale, such as thermal, elastic and kinetic material properties.
